Our first Breakfast Club back!
Its a Wrap... a great 1st session of the 22/23 academic year, it was great to see lots of new faces and wonderful to welcome back lots of old faces. As some of you will already know we have been seeking weekly feedback from Students in an attempt to understand better what the challenges are and what It's Our Day can do to support, we have been working hard behind the scenes to turn your feedback into something tangible and we are thrilled to share that we have linked up with 2 other organisations, Leeds Sanctuary and Battle Scars and together we will be developing and delivering some drop in wellbeing sessions that will run alongside the Breakfast Club.
Over the next few weeks, we will be seeking your feedback on how you would like the sessions to be delivered, we want to hear what you have to say so that we deliver what you want and what is needed.
As you know we are passionate in our belief that much, much more needs to be done to support people to understand what steps they can take to maintain mental wellbeing rather than waiting until they are in crisis before anyone steps in to help.
We are really excited to see how the next step of our Campaign for 'Primary Prevention' evolves, and we are confident that one day every school will have mental health education as a core subject in the same way that physical education is?
